Convex Thermoplastic Road Marking Material consists of resin, EVA, PE wax, fillers materials, glass beads and so on. It is in powder form at normal temperature. When heated to 180-200 degrees by hydraulic cylinder pre-heater, the material turns fluid.Applied onto road surfaces with a line marking machine, it forms a tough, durable coating with clear lines and excellent wear resistance. Spraying reflective micro glass beads on the surface delivers outstanding reflective performance at night. This material is widely applied in highway and city road. We can provide various types of products to meet different environmental and construction requirements.

Construction Precautions
1. temperature between 180 and 220°C.
The application temperature must be maintained between 180 and 220°C. At low temperatures, the flowability of the coating deteriorates, making the surface of the painted lines prone to roughness and pitting, which affects both aesthetics and reflectivity. More importantly, this directly reduces the adhesion between the coating and the road surface, making the markings more likely to peel off during use. Excessively high temperatures accelerate the evaporation of additives in the coating, while organic materials such as resins may decompose and carbonize. The coating becomes brittle, making it more prone to cracking and peeling under vehicle traffic, which significantly shortens its service life.
2. Precautions for Cold Weather
When the ambient temperature is below 5°C, it is recommended to suspend application or preheat the road surface to raise the application temperature. Suspend construction until temperatures rise (highly recommended): Work during midday on sunny days when temperatures rise; suspend work immediately in cold, overcast, or frosty weather. This is the most reliable way to ensure quality. Moderately increase the application temperature: Adjust the melting temperature slightly upward within the standard range of 180–220°C, and apply the coating as soon as possible after it is dispensed to ensure it has sufficient temperature and flowability when it comes into contact with the road surface.
3. Precautions for Cleaning the Roadway
Removing Old Markings: Use a milling machine or sandblaster to thoroughly remove old markings, exposing the original pavement. For concrete pavements, high-pressure water jetting and sandblasting are recommended. Sweep the Road Surface: Use a street sweeper or a high-powered blower to remove all dust, sand, and loose debris from the road surface. Drying: Ensure the road surface is completely dry. Thermoplastic paint is incompatible with water; a damp surface will severely compromise adhesion and may even cause the markings to bubble or peel after application.
4. Precautions for Apply primer
Choose the Right Type: Select a primer with the appropriate formulation based on the road surface material (e.g., concrete, asphalt). Control Application Amount: Apply a moderate amount; too much or too little will affect adhesion. Ensure Proper Drying: Allow sufficient drying time after applying the primer. Typically, you should wait until the surface is no longer sticky to the touch and does not attract dust or grit before applying the thermoplastic coating.
